Vessa is a semi-mountainous village and Mastichochori of Chios and belongs to the Municipality of Mastichochoria.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Vessa is located 19 km southwest of the city of Chios (road distance), in a valley, from where a possible etymology of the name of the village (from the Homeric vessa = valley), and at an average altitude of 180 meters. The area of the eponymous municipal district is 21 square kilometers.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nearby destinations from Vessa are Mastichochoria Mesta, Pyrgi, Olympi, Ag. Yiorgis Sykousis, Armolia with its beautiful ceramics, the cave of Olympi, the Museum of Mastic in Pyrgi, as well as the traditional settlements of Avfertile as well as the beautiful nearby beaches of Komi, Mavra volia, Kato Fana, Trachili, Elinda.
